Abstract
The issues that have arisen are substantive ones touching on the nature, character, interpretation, and application of Scripture. As such, they merit close attention and careful engagement. In this paper, Enns's formulation of what he calls the incarnational analogy is explored. It is argued that the way in which Enns formulates an analogy between the Bible and the two natures of Christ constitutes a departure from the Bible's teaching about itself. Two related topics of interest to Enns will be also be addressed, specifically the nature and character of the Old Testament, and the way in which the New Testament writers interpret the Old Testament.
