Abstract

What are we to make of Luke’s ending to Acts? Recent literary study of Luke-Acts has demonstrated both the sophistication and complexity of its conclusion. Luke is concerned to demonstrate two distinct but critical related points: the mission of Paul is now complete; with the completion of that mission, a once-for-all apostolic foundation has been laid.
